Another day of hours of “news” time getting dedicated to pumping out false information and terror scares. After hours of fear pimping about an al Qaeda note toting, screw driving wielding terror suspect, the TRUTH dribbles out with a whisper.
The same thing happened on Monday at LAX…hours of scary speculation instead of reporting what’s known and updating when more is known.
I guess the upside is that, unlike in December, no one was shot in the head.
Meanwhile, Muslim-only lines at airports proposed on Fox News by another Boortz-like freak, Mike Gallagher. How exactly you “test” for religion is unclear…a guess he just meant the non-Mexican kind of brown.
Man…George Allan offers a half-assed apology for his racial slur. “I’m sorry if he was offended”…putting the onus on the kid he slurred, not on himself. And, by the way, Allen’s claims of ignorance of the term are laughable.
There were more than 3,400 Iraqi deaths in July (that we know of). That’s over 110 a day, the highest yet. And 51 US troops (that we know of) died in July.
React and adapt, hatch and scratch, or whatever the new talking point is, Bush is still a “stay the course” guy through and through.
21 former generals, diplomats and national security officials blast Bush’s moronic Iran policy, saying that it is undermining our security. An open letter will be released tomorrow.
And Bill Clinton takes a swipe at Joe “Zell Miller” Lieberman’s Iraq stance, calling it the Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld position.
